Yes, it was down for about 7 or 8 hours. Still loading, but you couldn't read new threads or post on old ones. Very frustrating!

Between Meredith leaving the Today show and the forum going down, I wasnt sure how today could possibly be my birthday. I started out the day so discombobulated that I didnt know what to do. Smiling again though.

I think we should open a thread to identify the root cause for the glitches this morning. I suggest free ticket to the next PW European tour as the first prize winner. In the event if we have more than 1 correct answer, we need to throw a dice.
Here is my guess: Frank was doing some routine maintenance work for the site while in Europe. The night was deep. His PW friends then came by and forced him to drink a few glasses of wine and scotch. The drink made Frank extremely happy but he lost contol of the glass, spilled the entire scotch on his laptop. Alas, it was before the maintenance was completed. Back in his room, Frank furiously dissembled his laptop computer and dried scotch off his laptop now completely open and taken apart. He had to wait about 8 hours before he assembled the laptop again. Fortunately it was a success. He did not lose his laptop and were able to fix the site with minimum damage.
So can I get the free ticket? I've taken the liberty to quote the above by FarmGirl, which she just posted in the Pianist Corner.
