Talking about this, I imagine:

I don't think it really works all that well other than on the guitar, to be honest, but Koji's performance is pretty amazing, and the closest I've heard to the 'authentic' sound.

Thank you Kevin.

Sure that was a very good performance. My take on this piece is totally different, while he was trying his best to stick to the original score of the piece, sounding like a guitar to the best of his ability, my arrangement is more for the piano, the way the piano is as an instrument not as a guitar, also I have added and changed a few things in the entire score, so my arrangement is totally different, I also wasn’t trying to copy the entire piece note by note from the original guitar version. There are a number of ways to play this piece on the piano, some better then others, perhaps I'll make a different arrangement later on...

That is one of my favorite pieces and when I first heard it I knew I had to play it on the piano. Interesting how you have to use the tremolo to try and get the guitar affect. I like to use octaves on the opening theme.

An invitation to "Join the conversation "still lingers here . So anyway--I thought upright pianos with a felt muting strip would fit in nicely with the muted notes as played by Segovia .
You could play the muted notes loud enough to get the right balance. A Grand will not have that useful tone adjustment . The video seems to make the speed too much a feature .Segovia aims at the tranquility of a mirror smooth pool and a cool temperature to fit the ambience .
