I'm just wondering, how long does it take you to compose a work such as this? smile

It's very good :P

Thank you.

This was like 6 years ago, so I don't remember exactly how long it took me to compose this work, but I would say anywhere between 1 to 2 weeks.

Regards,

Saul

I have to say I liked the piece, even tho I don't know why uou called it a Romance??? anyways, after the harsh critisisem you gave the Guy with the Piano sonata.3 in c minor, you should be abel to handel this guy's critisisem bether.

By the way, 8 bit mario music is great, Koji Kondo is a great, and very collor full composer! gues the 8 bit comment came from the midi player playing the piece instead of a human, I also think a human would be bether!!!

Yor other post of the 4 little pices was even bether than this, I think.I'm looking forward to youre next post!

Thanks!

Romance because of the two voices, like two lovers changing words and feelings.

Oh I knew that you're a kid , from the first post you made, so I guess I'm ahead of you on this one.

'Fighting with everyone'?

I'm not fighting, lol, I'm having a great time... loosen up man...

Saul, I loved it. I particularly enjoyed the harmonic surprises on page 2, and the way you infuse this piece with so much suspense. (It's difficult to stop listening before it's over.)

The ending baffles me, though. It seems like a bravura addition that comes totally out of nowhere, disconnected from the rest of the piece. The repeated chords there also aren't convincing, though this may be a result of the computer performance.

Have you recorded this yourself? Some of the counterpoint (for example, page 6) does not come out so well in midi, and I'd love to hear it in person. Some of the rondo entrances were not so convincing to me - particularly page 12 - but again, this may come across very differently in a human performance.

What do you think of this piece yourself?

Thank you, I really like this piece, and I did perform it but not record it. The piece is very difficult to perform, perhaps one of the most challenging pieces I ever played. I don't have the time now to study it and play it at a level of recording it, but if you're interested I can post here the score and you can give it a try...

what do you say?

P.S midi lowers the quality of this piece considerably.

I'd love to, except I've barely had access to a piano since graduating music school 2 years ago, and I probably won't again for at least another year and a half. frown
