Ok, let me explain myself here what i want and hopefully we can get it to work.

I want a simultaneous sound of grand piano with strings at the same time. So when i press a key on midi controller i can hear both effects (sounds).

Right now i have the setup like taken on the screenshot, but only green highlighted instrument plays when i press keys (piano in this case, if i select strings i cant hear piano sound).
I tried googling but results are not exactly what i am addressing here. Might be ill communication since im not english native.

it is not possible. You need to have Logic in order to do that.

You can of course record an instrument and then copy the midi in order to hear two sounds simultaneously

dang i gotta get that version of garageband. im stuck on the older one

I did record for the fun of it, it came out pretty solid, thanks again, Chris.

Joeb, i have no idea what 09 is like but i imagine its not that much of a difference, so no worries if you are on the older version.

yeah its not too much different but i have a way older version i think like 07 maybe. and the piano sound stinnks. i have this cheap midi controller too and the keys are all messed up. time to upgrade grin
