Hi everyone. I'm a newbie and I use Casio's CTK-3000 and connect it to my computer, from there I use Native Instruments B4 ii. There is a split function in the software, but how do I split the keys on my CTk-3000? Sorry for my english, what I am trying to say is: Can I divide my keyboard so that half the keys are playing the upper organ level and the other half of keys plays the lower part in the organ software.

I am trying to learn A Whiter Shade of pale and I found a perfect organ tab for it. Please help smile

I took a look at Casio CTK-3000's owner's manual ... http://support.casio.com/pdf/008/CTK2000_3000_e.pdf ... and it does not appear that you can split the keyboard on that instrument.

I don't know if that's the end of this discussion or not. Perhaps someone else can shed more light on this.

xrt, even if your Casio does not offer a hardware split feature, it should still possible to configure B4II to offer similar functionality.

In the bottom right corner of the B4II SETUP page you should see options for UPPER/LOWER KEYSPLIT. Click the LEARN button, then press the key on your Casio that corresponds to the upper/lower split point. This should then allow you to play the two manuals separately using the different key ranges.

By the way, which 'Whiter Shade of Pale' tab are you using? wink

Cheers,
James

It should be possible. Perhaps you can send an email to Native Instruments technical support?

Cheers,

Thanks I'll try that, because I notice that Matthew Fisher from Procol Harum used both the upper and lower keys on AwsOp.
Do you think he uses 440hz eller 300hz? Are there any way to adjust the hz in NI B4ii?

If you on Windows, try MIDIOX and use LoopBE1 virtual MIDI cable to connect it to Kontakt.

With MIDI OX it should be possible to assign any Note to any MIDI Channel, and that for a selective velocity range if required.
(I have never used this particular functionality in MIDIOX, but so far I remember it is there)

Little update:
Here is the thing... I have 16 Keyboard Channels on my CTK-3000.
When I select the first channel I get the upper deck, when I select the second channel I get the lower deck of keys, and with the third I get the things you use your foot on. (Sorry I am new to Organs)

My problem is still that even if I type in 1 in every option in Setup I get both upper and lower set of keys, the key split / learn does nothing.

How on earth can I split up my CTK-3000 with Native Instruments B4 II. The help support diden't help at all.
