Just wondering if anyone can suggest some good software which will allow me to scan sheet music and convert it to a MIDI file? A simple JPEG to MIDI converter will do, but obviously it must be able to understand two stave piano music. Thanks!

I think it will be far easier to retype the whole thing using a music notation software. I use the online, and free, Noteflight web site (link below) and you can export to midi file. I have tried it and it works very fine for my digital piano.

I use Sharpeye to convert scanned sheet music to midi or xml. Works fine (with a good original). I've used it for piano music and 4 part (SATB) scores.
