Now there is a topic I expected least in a piano forum.
I had a trial account, but when I played a good 15 hours straight(somwhere around 10pm to somwhere around 2pm the next day) I realized I would do good not to fall into this timeconsuming trap. That and I didn't want to pay for the Game AND the subscription fees.

Since posting this I've realized what it's really about.

It basically hypnotises people to take their money, and the entire plot is based around constant war.

I play but usually only when my bf is home to play with me. I don't fall into the time warp of games. I remain focused on my music. Pressing the "exit game" is not an issue for me.There is not enough time in life to get swept away. It is my go-to game when I am worn to the bone and can't do anything else....and its kinda fun lol....the mage is my fav.

I don't personally play that game, but I think it is nice to see sometimes when members post about other things they enjoy doing.

For me, other activities I like to do are hiking/camping, playing racquetball, an occasional Xbox night with games like Halo or Call of Duty, and watching college basketball. Also, I like singing in choir.

I played WoW for about 3 months. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to renew with my student income of $0.

I'm not into WOW but both my sons are solidly into it for hours and hours and hours.... I understand the addiction and I know they will grow out of it eventually (on a time scale of years!). I can practise while they play so the household peace is well maintained!

I have one of those, too! I used to play Madden 2000, Crash Bandicoot, and Gex the Gecko.

I've played WoW in the past, but it was too time-consuming.

I play Starcraft 2 a bit and play golf fairly obsessively in the summer.

I'm also a big fan of art, and my wife has recently gotten me interested in the theater, so we try to attend local theater productions whenever we can. I see patronizing the arts as something of a civic duty, so I do my best to help out whenever possible.

I'm a big computer game freak. However, since I started giving myself piano goals, I've been playing computer less and less, mostly because before I can even touch a computer game, all my time is used up just from piano practice. Whenever I need a short break (like now), I just check out the piano world forums. Then I start playing piano again. I find it impossible to play a computer game for only, say, 10-15 minutes! There was a time I did 36 hours of computer gaming...oh boy, did I feel sick after!

I gave up on the WOW treadmill about 18 months ago, it was just too all consuming of my time and I wanted to do something else so I started taking piano lessons. Much better for me!

By the way I started playing MMO's with Ultima Online and moving onto Everquest and Dark Age of Camelot and then WoW. I really should have figured out I need to stop playing these types of games the one night I camped the Guk Assassian in Lower Guk (Everquest zone) for hours and hours hoping to get a Flowing Black Silk Sash (sad that I even remember the item I was after). The mob didn't spawn each time and even when he did it wasn't a sure thing that he would drop the item. I played in that one spot for 13-14 hours and never got that dang sash.

I carefully avoided WoW because I have a very compulsive nature (got stuck on Diablo and lost a couple of months a few years back). I much prefer a piano obsession over a PC game obsession.
