Quagles, your room looks like a place you could stay in for weeks, months--years, maybe--and never get bored! What a great assortment of media, movies, music, comfy couches/chairs, etc.

Quagles, no need to be ashamed! I love that room. It has a very young feel to it. Very comfortable! Nerdy room you say? Hmm..my room kind in my parents' house kind of looked like that. Guess that makes me a nerd, too!

That is the cutest picture, cobra What a sweetie - and it looks like it won't be long before she'll be able to reach an octave. I love her blue jeans, too - just like grandpa! Cathy

Finaly - my chance to join this thread! Heres the new piano (5 minutes after delivery) with the old Roland it replaced in the background. Room acoustics may need some minor adjustments.. it stil sounds very weird to me.... (...and its KILLING me that I have to be at work today instead of staying home and plyaing with my new toy )
Parent.... Orchestral Viola player (stictly amateur).... Hack Pianist.... (faded skills from glory days 20 yrs ago) Vague Guitar & Bass player.... (former minor income stream 15 yrs ago) Former conductor... (been a long time since I was set loose with a magic wand!)

WOW, I love this thread! So many gorgeous rooms out there. It certainly gives me something to aspire to someday. Much along the same line as Quagles (thanks for posting first!) here is my first piano room in my first house! (sorry for the bad cell phone pics) This is the combo piano room, music room, office, and art studio at the moment while I finish up some work in the basement. No dogs, but you can see Cally, our parrot, hiding on the left. Here's more of a closeup. She enjoys hanging out up there listening to me practice. She's also really good at ruffling her feather when I hit a nasty note!

My two pianos-my Clavinova with it's successor, the C7! (I think the Clavinova gets a little jealous, seeing as I spend most of my time on the grand, but I still enjoy having the digital!) Full prop, with the duster I obsessively use in the background, and the carpet (which actually fits perfectly underneath) beneath the piano to absorb sound, more than anything: ...now just to pay off the 'rents.... (P.S. Thanks to Edtek for the help with the posting procedure! )

Wow, "Concertpianisttobe"
That's a beautiful C7. I have had my eye on one of those here in Houston. I just don't have the room for two grands, and I've fallen back in love with my ancient Knabe after a truly gifted tech gave it a good voicing and did some action work that lightened it up to my liking.

Well thanks, crogersrx!! I'm so fortunate to have her. It's a great piano. And that's fantastic to hear about your Knabe, I'm so glad that you could have it adjusted to suit your liking more. I've never played one, however I think it'd be interesting. I believe my teacher has an older Chickering...(not that that relates too much, it remotely reminded of me it, I guess.) Regards! Matt

I got my nephew one for Christmas a couple of years ago, but I don't know if he ever tried it. I was surprised that they are launched overhand, instead of flat like a Frisbee Any way, nice instrument(s)! Cathy

Was anybody else wondering how you can launch an acoustic overhand when they read the last post?
