World renowned concert pianist Soyeon Lee recently visited Bozeman, MT, USA where she performed Mozart's 23rd Piano Concerto with the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Matthew Savery. Although the performance was not without a few technical flaws (as natural), it sparkled and shone. Her Mozart was filled with personality, spirit, and was extremely musical. I believe Mozart himself would've been happy to hear such a magical performance. Such a gifted pianist as her, though, thoroughly deserved a better orchestra. Although the BSO tried it's hardest, it was still completely unmatched by the sensitivity and musicality of Ms. Soyeon Lee. Sadly, Ms. Lee did not give an encore to her performance although she was given a standing ovation by the enthusiastic concertgoers. I would love to hear the very talented young pianist again.
