I have a Kimball Artist Console model number 862355 with a handwritten date of 9-26-77 that I would like to sell. What is the best way to find its value.

Thanks!

The best way is to see what someone will offer you for it. I have seen them offered from free to perhaps $1000.

Condition is everything for used pianos. In truly excellent condition it could be worth a few hundred in average condition a couple hundred, in poor condition, nothing or close to it, in really junky condition you will have to pay to have it taken away. As with anything else, check your local market, peruse Craigslist, see what similar pianos are going for in your area. If it's in really good shape perhaps a piano shop would take it in on consignment, but don't expect it to sell fast, this could take awhile.

Hi,

You can look through these results and see what people are asking for them across the country but it may not be very helpful. Some of these asking prices are very ambitious to say the least. [I don't know how to weed out the organs and grands from this site.] It really depends on what someone is willing to pay for it in its current condition. I would think more sell in the $400-$500 range than for more, if they play all right and can hold a tune. If you have been having it maintained and tuned regularly maybe a little bit more if the tech will talk to the buyer.
