Here is my first piece from my new home and state:)

It's called Touched by Joe Bongiorno..

http://www.box.net/shared/y23tyd2ylg

There is a little clicking sound or something that comes from my piano..
oh.. just as I was typing this I looked out my window and saw 2 guys pushing a car that got stuck in the parking lot in the snow lol.. kind of interesting since now there are 2 cars stuck:)...

Ben - that was really lovely ( and you know I just "met" this piece about a week ago, courtesy of P-Rex!) You played it charmingly.

P-rex - I love that Clementi piece! I've been toying with it but I'm no where near up to speed - your tempo was lovely - I will aim to copy you! Love the sound of your instrument.

Glen/Inlanding - what can I say ... your style is so distinctive, and your original works are rich and soothing. and I love the voice of your piano as it sings your thoughts.

Cygan - only a year? I'm jealous. Well done!!!!!
Little Blue, that was fun!
BillM Thank you for changing your name. I could never ever frame how to say your old one -it was always "that B57 guy " in my mind smile I've heard several of your pieces now and truly enjoy them.

Great stuff folks, thanks for sharing

Augustina - that was kind of "mood music" - and the recording had a kind of bell-like quality on the theme. My senior audience would like it smile

Wow, everyone's busy this first of Feb!

Ben- Lovely "warm" playing to open the piano bar!

PRex- Perfect touch on the Clementi! Delicate & assured.

Glen- Nice stride on The Man I Love! (This was one of the first songs I learned 7th chords on). And you really have the feel & touch for the blues! Free play surprised me, too. I liked the sound on this one. So many styles...awesome!

Cgyan-Nice piece! I love hearing things for the first time and this was a wonderful performance!

LBE- "Martha", your piano & your playing go so well together! Well done. I'm a sucker for any Beatles tune...

Bill- Where's the tip jar?! Man, that one calls for another round! (Way to keep the warmth goin'). Loved it!

Augustina- "Touched" is a new one to me - I really liked the LH work - nice melody, too! Good job!

Think less - play more

Just like with others, I got one piece in the recital, so another one goes for the Piano Bar :-)

Enjoy! It's a piece that soothes me to sleep every now and then and never fails to succeed.

Hello, I've just listened to one contribution but will go through the other ones later. I listened to Martha My Dear, played by LBE and it was very good.

But I noticed something. I played it with my headphones on and I could only hear the music through one ear. Why is that?

I don't have a stereo camcorder. frown I've been trying to think of a way to make the sound come out both channels even though its mono. I need to play with my video program a bit and see what I can do for the next time.

I'll figure it out eventually.
Until then you may want to keep a safe distance.

Wow - not even the second of Feb (at least in my timezone) and already so much music!

BenPiano You stole my piece! Just kidding - I'm nowhere close to finishing it but you've inspired me to get cracking with it again. That was beautifully done; I particularly liked the very even feel you gave it - with the right emphasis where needed.

Pianosaurus Rex Somehow I skipped playing this piece - it seems almost compulsory and I did download the music to it one time. Very nicely done - it certainly didn't seem rusty at all! There was a very nice part where you changed the mood for the variation around 1.30 mins in.

Inlanding Three lovely pieces. My favorite was Somethin' Bluesy - some very nice runs indeed. I agree with BillM - that would be great in a real bar.

cgyan Harmony Grove was very nicely played. You seem so relaxed but in control of the keyboard.

Little Blue Engine Now, that piano is made for this piece and you played it so well. You worked the bass so nicely - I particularly enjoyed the bridge section. I could almost hear Sir Paul singing wink

BillM A great job as always. I always love your arrangements and riffs - they seem so natural.

Augustina I'm glad you have found time after your move to give us Touched. Very nicely done.

Well, I'm going for the shortest piece award. It's Chopin's Prelude in A major, opus 28 no. 7. I'm not 100% happy with my version - I'll try again when I get my acoustic!

Mati That was very beautiful; I'm impressed with how you make the left hand jumps so fluid and even - one of my biggest problems. As for it soothing you to sleep ... zzzzz ... just kidding!

Mati- That was soothingly beautiful and a little haunting. Your playing is so refreshingly relaxed. Very nice. I liked this very much!

Andy- Really great playing on the Chopin prelude! It looks so easy on paper, but is deceptive in it's simplicity...you really made it sing!

Inlanding, Somethin' Bluesy was the one I missed first time through but you have a great feel for the blues, I enjoyed it very much.

LBE, The Beatles are probably my all time favourites and you played it flawlessly smile
Bill is right, the bass sections really brought the whole piece together smile

Bill, your quiet confidence at the keyboard always makes me want to return the piano and try to do better (and I'm only playing and not singing too laugh )

Augustina, I just recently came across Joe Bongiorno and really like his stuff. This was a fine cover, bet you're glad to back at the piano after the move!

Mati, that was beautiful, I loved it. Very peaceful and your piano sounds incredible.

Andy, expertly played, just the right touch and feel to it.

P. Rex - nicely done - assured and polished - one of the best versions of this fine piece I've heard here...

Glen - one can't go wrong playing Gershwin, and you didn't - nice and smooth and easy playing on this great classic from the best era of American popular music!
