Hello,

How come on Youtube, for Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, there are two main types i see: Liszt/Horowitz and Liszt.

What are the differences of the two versions?

Then again, I don't remember a clear concise answer.

I don't know much about the Horowitz transcription, but the last post in the old thread seems informative.

the original thoughts by the composer versus the 'liberty' some guy thought nice to take with the not so original original, Liszt took his tunes from gypsies, not Hungarians...and made up a famous series of potpourries, Horowitz took an old custom from a century ago and did 'his' version of Liszt's, well, there it is.
