Hi Carlos,

thanks for your message and suggestion.
Actually I have already learnt the first two minutes of Monday, Nuvole Bianche and Fuori dal Mondo.
Still to refine all of these three subpieces but I am very satisfied with the result and I think I will proceed in this way for now.

I want to complete at least one of these three.
To be honest memory and high concentration for more than 2 or 3 minutes are the major obstacles at the moment.

Anyway Fuori dal Mondo looks like the easiest and I should be able to get the whole 5 minutes ready in another week or two.

Even if probably I will be tempted to learn the first two minutes of Giorni Dispari in the next few days smile

I'm "self re-learning" too (since Decembre 2009 - almost 1 year!) and I practice for about 1h/2h everyday. Just to share that ONLY this week I started to study "La Nascita Delle Cose Segrete"; just because I fell I'm ready for it. Only now.
I don't know your talent, or your musical background, but you should add some confidence before studing Einaudi. He is a great composer/interpreter and it's not easy to reach is level of "sound".
As I said, I don't want to discourage you, I just wanted to share my opinion.
Good work!

Finished learning I giorni - god it's beautiful. Now I just need to polish up the sections since getting as good red-dot take isn't going to be easy with little jumps and 10ths at the end.

Less than 1wk to go till San Francisco! The stage itself is rather small'sh so even though I'm on the right hand side I'm hoping I'll still be able to see the keys, we'll see..

I've really got to set aside some time so I can get the first 3 pieces I've learned of Einaudi up on the "The Tube" smile

Well,

"thank you" is "Grazie a lei"
(you know in Italian we use the third person, if you feel to treat him as a friend "Grazie a te"
"performance" is actually used in Italian, so you can leave it
"moving" may be "commovente" if you mean "moving to tears", or "toccante" if you mean "touching the heart".

so you may say something like:
"Grazie (a lei), una performance davvero toccante" or
"Grazie (a te) per questa performance cosi' commovente"

"Thank you, a really moving performance"
"Thank you for such a moving performance"

smile

As for pronunciation you can use this site

http://dictionary.reverso.net/italian-english/davvero

(A curiosity about the picture: What Einaudi has in his left hand?)

Thanks - I also use Google Translator sometimes also. As for what Einaudi is holding it's a pen (for signing) and the bottom part of the white'sh reflection is actually a ladies shoe stood behind him..

Oh boy! I finally got around to getting my hotel for next Saturday. Priceline accepted my offer of $75 for a 4-star hotel, and I'm at the Pfister, which (I believe) is right across the street from the performing arts center.

can't wait can't wait can't wait. smile

Great! And you should aspire to complete all the three... why not?
As I said, I'm studding "La Nascita Delle Cose Segrete" and fortunately I'm able to play by memory after few atempts, so I'm already in the middle of the piece, and I'm loving it.

I'm on board. For us, it would probably have to be after, since we have a lot going on during the day. I'll check back in a day or two.

Given how often Einaudi visits San Francisco I'd guess the most likely meeting place would be out there and not here in middle section of the country.
