It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
Here's me and Augustina's duet for the month so far Sorry for any mistakes on this one. It was a bit more difficult to keep the rhythm with each other on this duet than some of the other ones :P

It sounded good to me - but does it really end that abruptly or did the video just cut off? I guess for something called Corpse Bride perhaps an abrupt end is what to expect!!
Well, I'm not great at coming up with comments, but Here they are TrueBeginner- that was great! Peyton I've never heard of Lenard Cohen, But great preformance, and love the singing:) Andy- that was so pretty:) Rickster- You always seem to have so much fun playing your songs it was fun to listen to, great job!:) Ed, That was very well played, and I enjoyed Tico Tico also:) Elssa, I liked watching the light on the piano, From the metronome?:) Tico Tico was also fun to listen to, great job! Glen, loved your songs:) Bill, another great song:) LadyPayne nice job on Turkey and the Straw, and Corpse Bride was kind of hard to keep the rhythm, but I don't think it sounds that bad:) LaValse- That was very pretty, nicely played too:)

DUET GIRLS - For the tricky rhythms on Corpse Bride, well done! I like this very much. (I really think you guys should come up with a separate name for your duo )
AUGUSTINA- Very nice on Simple Gifts! Such a great melody, another one well done.
hmm a separate name for our duo Interesting idea! No idea on a name though =(

That was from the Rhumba rhythm setting on my Roland there - All the rhythms have the flashing lights that I try to pay attention to and play along with (not always too successfully). It was fun to use it with Tico Tico, though.
It's great to play along with the different rhythms, Latin, Swing, etc.. sort of like playing with a little band.
I enjoyed your "Simple Gifts"! As always, very gracefully played and lovely to listen to.
.... Well, here's something I used to play on electric organ (with pedals) and finally got an arrangement together for my DP (Roland).
TICO TICO (Abreu) ...
Elssa, that was so good! You are so good with those rhythms!
Oldtimers (namely, me) are fond of saying some piece of music has brought back old memories. Well, this one really did, especially since you mentioned playing it on an organ. Here is a recording of yours truly playing this song on a Hammond Organ in (hold onto your hat) 1979!
Pedals are fun aren't they? My organ recordings were made with a $10 cassette recorder, sitting on the floor, using the cheapest cassette tapes from Kmart, so there is an excessive amount of ooh pah pah, and a bit of hiss. But that's ok, covers up the mistakes!
Ed, please post some more of your old Hammond recordings.. they're sensational!
Here's one I did on my Conn organ (with pedals) back around 1980, also with a cheap little recorder, so sound quality is not so hot (okay, really bad):
I really enjoyed that Schumann, I didn't know this piece, but it sounds strangely familar, similar to something. Then the penny dropt...isn't it: "O Iesu Mawr"?
Yes, Elssa, that recording was really bad. The playing, though, was quite nice. I think that your bad recording captured a bit more of the bass than did Ed's.
Thanks, Dennis. Yes, I remember I had a loud bass setting on with the pedals for that one. Too bad I didn't have my Zoom H2 recorder back then, though. Maybe I'll redo it now.. still have that same organ.
