I am looking for the best software or DVD piano lesson course for adult beginners I can get. I have looked into the paperback book piano lessons by both Hal Leonard and Alfred's, but I am more of a person who needs to be shown how to do it, rather than read how to do it. If I am shown how to do it - I catch on A LOT easier and faster.

If anyone has any visual programs they are aware of, please let me know!

Thanks as always!

Hey, thanks!

But after I posted this, I searched the internet and wound up ordering this:

http://www.learnandmaster.com/piano/

Tons of positive reviews and couldn't find one negative one.

Hope it is as good as everyone seems to think it is!

Thanks as always!

I don't know PianoForAll, it may indeed be a good course, but I own Learn and Master Piano, and it really is a great course consisting of 14 dvd's and 5 cd's to play along.

I think you made a good choice there smile

Guess what I will be doing this weekend? lol

It's here!

Very impressive, even the packaging... thick, hardcover, with black felt lining....

I'll let you know how it goes!

Pologuy - so what do you think of the course? Learn & Master have an aggressive affiliate program, so I'm always a bit suspect of the many awesome reviews of this program. That is, it is hard to tell if the affiliates are being totally objective or partially motivated by the affiliate bonuses.

However, it does look good, so it would be nice to hear remarks from a recent buyer!

Thanks.

Beware of the "independent reviews"...these are usually the same guys setting up different web sites for touting their products. I don't know about this particular one, but in general this is very common.

Hi,

I am liking it so far.

I have only had time to get through lesson number 4 - there are 28 lessons.

I will let you know more when I am further along.

But, so far I am happy with it.

smile

I always thought it was amusing on how the $100 bucks off always ends the NEXT day, now matter what the date is that you show up on. :\

Learn and Master Piano is a good piano course. Here are a couple more software and DVD piano lessons options. All are good for piano beginners.

Question about the Learn and Master program - does this course teach you to read music, or does it teach you to play by looking at the keys?

Hi,

If you have the time and money then certainly taking piano lesson with a teacher is the best option. I teach piano so I would say that wouldn’t I. I do also provide online lessons that you can work to at your own pace so If you would like to PM me I’d be happy to tell you more about it.
