Need ideas's on chords to modulate from a song
in key of "D" to a song in key of "F"

Try chords G, C, F with voice leading notes D,E,F.

For the RH chords, I meant G(root inversion), C(second inversion), and F(first inversion). Chord spelling would be: GBD, GCE, ACF. This makes the top notes (voice leading) progress from D to F.

The bass (LH) could play roots for all three chords.

Why not go to d melodic minor by lowering the 3rd scale degree (F natural from F sharp), then eliminate the C# to bring you to F major?

If we knew the context ie. how the song in D ends, and how the song in F begins, we might make better choices in how to modulate.

These are church hymns.

Song in "D" ends with Gmaj7 - Asus - A - D

When playing the song in "F" .... my intro would normally
be part of the last line of the chorus which is

Gm - C2 - Csus - F

So I someway got to get to that C or C7 chord.
