What do you think of Korg Rh3 action?
I really think i will buy a Korg keyboard since they are less expensive than Kawai or Roland.

Have you seen them? Groups of white keys are separated by gaps of differing widths...makes the whole think look very cheap to me...Maybe this is one reason why they ARE cheap!

IMO the gaps aren't really horrible or anything, and the action seems very nice to me.
It played beautifully when I tryed it (considering the price), better than Rolands PHA II alpha and Yamahas GHS...

Yes I agree it is a better action that the Roland PHA Alpha...but that's not saying much to be honest. I don't think I've tried the Yamaha GHS so can't comment. But, why can't they sort the key spacing?

The first thing I saw where the gaps between the keys... It looks horrible i know.

I need a good keyboard between $800 and $1200. Advice please !

i tried the RH3 on the sp250, ghs on ydp140, gh3 on ydp 161, and various rolands(fp7, fp4, v piano, rd 700gx)...went with the korg because it felt alot better than ghs and pretty close to the alphas, but compared to the gh3 not as nice, but its 300 dollars cheaper than the ydp 161 so, best value for money IMO

This isn't important to the subject at hand, however there seems to be some ambiguity re: the exact keyboard action on the YDP-161. On the Features Page it says that it has the GH action (which is not supposed to have the extra/third sensor), yet it states that it does in fact have the third sensor. On the specs page it also says "GH" (not GH3). Ditto for the YDP-181. In any case, the GH and GH3 share the same mechanicals so should feel mechanically the same.

yes the GH and the GH3 are the same mechanically, but the GHS and GH3 are different, GHS is their entry level action found on keyboards like the P85 and the YPG 635, and you do feel the difference.

as for the discription of the GHE(GH) action on yamaha's website i do agree with Sullivang that there are discrepancies.

going back to the original topic, Korgs RH3 action is currently their best, its used on their high end digital concert pianos and synths.

I find the RH3 to be different on their various keyboards. For example, the M3 88 feels totally different than the SV-1. And the M50 88 feels different as well. To me the SV-1 feels the best out of the bunch. Have not tried their dedicated digital pianos, but love the feel of the SV-1. I was curious about the gaps as well. Read a lot about it. When I saw the gaps up close on the SV 1, this design appeared intentional. Althoughl, I don't know exactly why. I suppose you would have to do some research to find out the philosophy behind Korg's theory for key spacing.

I'm thinking about buying the Korg SP250 or a kawai keyboard... maybe the ES6 or the EP3... Or a Yamaha P-155...

if you can find a p155 for a good price then by all means, but when i was trying to decide, the p155 was 400 more than the sp250, and i dont think i was getting 400 dollars more piano outta the p155.

Thoses samples are really really nice! especially the Kawai EX.

I agree, I think that Kawai sample library sounds wonderful from the demos I've heard. I also like their academic grand too. Prices are very reasonable and the demos (videos) featuring the creator of the sample libraries (Lance Herring) suggest to me that they were put together with quite a bit of love and devotion.

Very impressive sample set. Lance Herring comes across as a very enthusiastic chap, passionate about both playing music *and* recreating the distinctive sound of the EX.

I love how kawai pianos sound. if i could afford a kawai DP, i would be very happy.
