This thread is so refreshingly and wonderfully politically incorrect. With the picture of the Old Spice guy on this thread I surprised that Reverend Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton haven't called a joint press conference to denounce this egregious example of the promotion of bigoted thinking upon the American public. Just kind of kidding.

I think a man who can play a mean piano is very sexy. I wonder if the old spice guy plays piano?

I took accordion lessons as a kid. The other kids did not call me gay, they just didn't call me.

I don't know about the gay stuff, but I remember a couple of buddies waiting and watching me through the window while I practiced as a kid. They wanted me to come play with them, and I was required to practice an hour before I could go outside, so they watched me through the window rather than come inside where they would be more distracting. EDIT: geez, is that an awkward run-on sentence or what? As a teenager I dropped piano and took up guitar because, you know - "chicks dig guitar players, man." I'm afraid the results were less than I'd hoped for. grin

Well, living in Italy, I've never seen these ads! They are hilarious.

(I hadn't seen Liberace in years either, but I remember his show...(now that's dating myself, isn't it?).....

I think one of the funniest things about this thread is how many times people have tossed in the "politically incorrect" disclaimer!

I find it funny and all in good spirit.
....and YMCA is still an all-time favourite no matter where you go, if there is dancing, it will be played, no?

Play away guys, it won't hurt your image!

Pianist and composer Cole Porter was a known and renowned homosexual - singer Ella Fitzgerald was not - he was generally considered to be the greatest composer of popular music ever - she was generally considered the best female singer of popular songs ever - Cole's song "Begin the Beguine" was generally considered the best popular song ever written. I am in no position to dispute any of the above.

Here they are all together:

Those Old Spice ads are great. They would never show them here in the UK though because we are totally wrapped up in political correctness. The last Old Spice ad I remember seeing was years ago and featured a muscle bound hunk on a surf board crashing through some massive waves. The catchphrase became quite famous but was eventually mocked: "Old Spice - the mark of a man".

I'd rather listen to Ella than watch Old Spice (or any other) commercials. Thanks, John Frank.

Most men are disgusting pigs. They spit, smell, burp and fart all the time. How could anyone be attracted to them is beyond me. Plus all they can cook is cereal and toast.

Men suck!. This is why I love WOMEN!

This would appear to be somewhat unjustifiably harsh on the face of it, and could easily be assumed (if we didn't know otherwise) to be a quote from the ugliest, shrillest and most mean-spirited of man-hating feminists - not to mention calling into serious question the tastes and preferences of the vast majority of women who seem to have a rather strong attraction for and affinity to those of the "male persuasion"... smile

Besides - it's common knowledge that the best chefs in the world are a small but elite group comprised mostly of men (straight and gay), and I personally can whip up a succulent, mouth-watering pot of my world-famous Australian red wine chili (you gotta taste it to believe just how good it is...) and some great beef tips over noodles! laugh

What truely sucks is the rampant male-bashing so prevalent in and tolerated by the current culture - as one example notice all the commercials over the past decade or so that portray men as clueless, incompetent dolts - and you ladies (if you're frank and honest about it) know much better...

Jumping down from my soapbox...

JF

Haha.

Oh yeah, let's not forget some wonderful products designed to enhance the already attractive male. From head to toe:

. Spray on hair. Sort of like mulch in a can for your head.
. Dandruf control shampoo, for dry flakey scalps. Nice!
. Rogaine hair growth. Liquid hair fertilizer, again in a can.
. Hair plugs, nothin' beats runnin' your fingers through nice uniform rows of doll hair.
. "Bro", bra for men with man-boobs.
. Untucked shirts, lessons the preggo look.
. Old spice "show time" body spray for horny dudes with B.O.
. Laser hair removal, for your entire back!
. Cigar smoke. (pipes smell good though).
. Chewing tobacco, ever see a guy walking around with a "spit cup"?
. Height/weight proportionate?
. Male *enhancement* pills??? (not touching that one!)
. Fascination with pro wrestling (steroidal men in Speedo's all oiled up in a ring squeezing and jumping on each other.)
. Nudie bars (at least they help support single moms!)
. Athletes foot spray

I could go on but I want to go hug my wife! She's soft and smells nice.

oh puhleeze..... do you want a list of products for the already attractive woman? Don't get us started!
lol....

I think a great number of men do spit and burp and fart..... but let's be fair, women do too.....(though they myay not derive the absolute glee men can while engaging in these activiites!)
But for the cookig, ... I have to disagree. I am a darn good cook myself, but so is my hubby, my brother, all my male cousins and a great number of my male friends.
I won't cite famous male chefs as I don't persnally know them - they could be fakes.

Okay okay, I'll back off the bad cook stigma (only because guys like to eat....a lot! but remember the height/weight proportion thing).

Everything else is staying!
