I recently purchased a yamaha ypg635 and am now looking for the best way to light it up! Its basically towards the side of a room in front of a window. So a clip on light would be the best feasible way to light it up! any suggestions ? thanks in advance!

I don't have a clip on lamp, but I bought a fluorescent desk lamp with an arm at Office Depot that I like a lot. It has a long bulb, shaped like a U, so it gives a lot of light on the page. I set it off to the left side of the music rest on top of the piano.

Here's a clip-on light:

I bought the single-head version at a bookstore and it works pretty well. I'd think that two heads are better than one. smile

PW's piano supplies site has clip-on lamps: http://www.pianosupplies.com/ . Their House of Troy lamps are a little on the dear side, but the product quality was fine and the service was prompt and responsive. And ordering from them supports PianoWorld.

find a LED lamp if you could, which is easy on eyes, use little energy and doesn't feel hot over your head.

Definitely! Battery lasts for 20 times longer. It's also light and hard to break. LED is really revolution.
