Does anyone know which control setting in Internet Explorer causes some of the threads/links to completely shut down? It is frustrating to click and die!
For example: http://www.pianoworld.com/ubb/ubb/ultimatebb.php?/topic/1/20245.html does it to me.
I have to use firefox or another browser to view the thread.

What version of IE are you running? Also, are you running DSL, Cable or phone modem?

IE 7 with Cable. I fear it is IE7, but am not looking forward to a reinstall.

It is an IE7 thing. Opened it all the way up with the same results. Thanks Microsoft.

I use Firefox, and that page took over a minute to open up (on a DSL connection at work). I suspect IE has a timeout setting that is set shorter than that in Firefox. You may want to google for a way to increase IE timeout.

I opened it with both Firefox and IE 7 -- both took a while because of the photos, IE took longer. As noted, you may have a timeout issue.

Then again it could be Vista AND IE7. My version of IE is 7.0.6000.16546. I appreciate everyone's response. Time to go to microsoft as the google search and fixes haven't done it yet.

Thanks again. G

It never ceases to amaze me that anyone would use Internet Exploder (or any other Micro$lop product for that matter) in this day and age. FireFox is far more secure, far less buggy, and is cross platform. I don't really care for Safari that much, but its WAAAY better than Exploder.

Oh, and FireFox has built-in spell check. I can often tell when someone is using something else...

The funny part is, that is like one of the only very few and I'm talking maybe 3 pages that it does it on.

Zormpas, thanks for the vote of confidence. My personal recording of "Snake Charmer" is on its way.

Epf, only difference is I have Ultimate.

Cool! I'll send you a video of the dance I come up with for it!
