Yeah I know, I read where they can run something like 30 MPH.
I saw a picture in the paper of a python that they did catch down there a couple of weeks ago or longer. It was fricken HUGE. It could wrap itself around you like nobody's business. I wish people would not let creatures loose like that in the wild. If you can't handle it, don't own it.

The northern movement of pythons makes the news about once a month, here. I think the worry is over pets and small children.
But Bob, I'm a little worried--did you really just write that alligators are fast on land, and that you walked right by one? Is that, uh, safe?

I sure wish Winter would give up and go away. It's May 1st...it's NOT supposed to be getting down into the 20s at night.

 Yup... we've got rain 33 degrees and winds from 25 to 40mph. Not nice at all!.. Check the cam at my web site below... Good day to stay in and play da piano!..

Jake, I gingerly walked past that gator. It didn't seem aggressive, besides it was a 2 mile hike back the other way! H - it's in the low 90's here. Warmer than usual. The kids have been swimming for a few weeks already.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I took off late Thursday evening after finishing up with the Gilmore concert here at Calvin College. I had to stay mid-way to intermission just in case but, shorty after that, we headed up to the cottage for a long weekend. We had a blast! We came home a little while ago.
