Thanks for posting it! Interesting, and well done. How about that -- the first guy only has a DP at home! It's a different world today. Enjoyed the pics of the jury too.....audience as well. P.S. The opening measure of the Bach-Busoni at 3:46 is IMO a good example of how you can tell from just a few notes that someone is darn good.

Perhaps, but not necessarily, since the video tells us that "... he is fortunate to work as the assistant to the boss of a piano rental company...." This is not to minimize what he may have accomplished thanks to the DP, but he may also get some good practice time during or after work hours on acoustic pianos. Regards,

It would be very interesting to see Loic LaFontaine in the Berlin circuit with some of the top guns here like Ricker Choi and Vincent Schmithorst. I think all 3 of them will play the Mendelssohn's Variations Serieuses.
