Sunday March 28 2010 from 2-4:30 p.m. I'll be hosting my spring concert and jazz workshop at Pierre's Fine Pianos in West Los Angeles.
My guest clinician Joe Anderies heads the largest elementary school jazz program in the country based in Denver Colorado. He and I will be presenting a free workshop at 2 p.m. for all ages about saxophone, piano, jazz improv, and other topics related to improving musicianship.
At 3 p.m. jazz and pop vocalist Danielle Bisutti from True Jackson VP (Nickelodeon) will make a short speech about her time in my private lessons program and her path to success from student to Hollywood TV Star.
At 3:30 p.m. my quartet will perform an hour concert of piano and saxophone music with Larry Antonino on bass and Tiki Pasillas on drums and percussion.
The cost for the concert is $10 for adults (advance tickets) and $5 for kids/students. We will be improvising in both classical and jazz idioms at the concert.
Pierre's Fine Pianos is located at 11039 W. Pico Blvd LA 90046.
