How does this guy play a four hands solo? Is he playing with his mind?:

Seriously though, I first thought the "ghost" keypresses were pre-programmed, but it wouldn't make much sense, so I assume it's some sort of pedal system that connects octaves. This is just a wild conjecture though.

Can anyone explain what's really going on there?

Why wouldn't it make much sense for it to be pre-programmed? You see him start the player at the beginning of the clip. He's just playing along with a player mechanism as far as I can tell.

I believe he is playing a duet on a player piano.
