Well, I have to credit my cat, Gwen, for the ending with this one: grin

Those little town blues are fading away . . . I like the way the cat gets in there at the end. Fun!

Believe it or not, I'm not familiar with this one. I know most of the "old guy tunes" as you call them being an old guy myself, but this one escaped my notice until now. It's a nice tune, and as usual you did a great job with it.

B528 - I absolutely loved your "Under the Boardwalk"! It's one of my favorite summer tunes also - I really liked that you did a little slower rendition, made it more romantic. cool

Another FF tune here, sorry I just really enjoy learning these. smile
Final Fantasy VII - Cid's Theme

This is a cool one, sounds pretty heroic. I just recorded it about an hour or two ago. There's a mistake near the end but I'm trying not to worry about it too much. help

Rickster, I liked your original song - the message of course, and the singing and piano too. I always enjoy your contributions.

Dave, your origial piece does have a bit of the Moonlight feel to it, but that's a good thing. :-) I really enjoyed it.

Pedies, that was great playing. I'm not familiar with Winston's "Joy", but the underlying theme behind it is one of my favorites.

Hi everyone,
In case you still didn't watch enough piano videos after all those wonderful submissions in this month, I've recorded two new pieces. And by "new" I mean "hundreds years old".

First one is Christian Petzold's Minuet in G Minor which is sometimes attributed to J.S.Bach. You know which minuet is it - the nice one from the Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach:

Christian Petzold - Minuet in G Minor (BWV Anh. 115):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAdTR5TlxAo

The second one is Daniel Steibelt's Adagio. BenPiano posted his interpretation of this piece to the Piano bar some time ago and I liked it very much. So much, actually, that I decided to learn this piece too. My piano teacher instructed me to play it much slower so I did but, unfortunately, on the DP it doesn't sound as good as on the acoustic. At least not in this tempo:

Daniel Gottlieb Steibelt - Adagio:

David, those were both excellent! You have a really nice touch.

I'm curious about the very cool ceramics that you have displayed on your piano - are you the artist?

Thanks for your kind comment.

About the ceramics: All of those are work of my girlfriend. When she find out that I upload my piano videos on youtube, she started putting it there smile She's very talented in this kind of things and thanks to her my videos are little less boring smile

Well Since I'm on spring break from school I seem to have extra time for playing piano yay! But I should really be doing my homework frown But I'd really rather play the piano.. piano is a bigger distraction from school than my computer nowadays lol.
Anyway here's another submission from me! Nice old Patriotic song from the usa. America the Beautiful

hmm Well thought I'd save the piano bar from being inactive!! Yikes!

Here's another submission from me. It's a fancy little arrangement of Ode to Joy. Hope you enjoy! smile
http://www.box.net/shared/ukr3qran2s

ALso, the last several pieces I've uploaded have been arranged by Lorie Line including this one. I just discovered her last week! She's actually pretty cool and does a lot of fancy little arrangements of songs like this and most of them are about intermediate level. SHe has a few that are beginning level and some more advanced level sheets too. But She's got some pretty cool arrangements and you can check her out at her website. She has some downloads available as well. This one is actually referred to the hymm joyful joyful we adore thee on her list of downloads but it's still commonly known on the piano as Ode to Joy.

I'm a tad late getting to the Bar this month (been busy doing taxes cursing and trying to get the golf game tuned up for the approaching season yippie ) - and as you can imagine I'm quite thirsty, both for a couple of cold adult beverages and for a big chuck of the excellent music found here every month - so let me indulge:

TB - lovely, and yet sorrowful - as you intended.

Rickster - profound and poingent - continues the mood set by TB - nicely done (must be the only song title with two "throughs").

David - contemplative and continuing the somber mood in the Bar with "Into" - "Towers" starts the sweet climb to a better feeling - good job.

Pedies - very nicely done - much joy in that.

Bill - creative and entertaining thumb

Studio Joe - always liked this song - Bobby Vinton's version - nice playing.

Riddler - funky is right - funky and enjoyable - isn't Cold Duck a sparkling fruity wine of sorts?

More to follow...

JB

Amen Rick!

I've been awful quiet and awful busy, but also spending a bit of time working on some material by Pete Friesen (aka Pete the Bean). This is based on his Five Stars (from Take the Lead 2), only I've messed it around a little, added a little solo of his at the end - and taken it up a 5th - as an exercise. Here's the result, my first March contribution:

I just posted this one over on the David Nevue Easy Song thread, so I thought I might as well cross-list it here. I have been enjoying listening to all the submissions to the piano bar this month, and I've enjoyed the poetry-fest just as much. smile

This is "Waiting for the Sun," by Nevue. You can order the sheet music off his website, www.davidnevue.com. I don't know what was going on with the video and glaring light on this one--it must have been unusually sunny the day I recorded it. But since the piece is sun-related, I figured it was okay to leave it full of sunshine. smile

al-mahed - good job on the Bach Minuet in D minor.

Elssa - fine playing on "New York" - perhaps a little more variety in camera angle?
