I enjoyed this performance.

Do you have an edition with ornamentation or is yours printed without them? I think it gains something with a few ornaments, even the few that Bach (apparently) has written in.

I might enjoy hearing a little more dynamic variety in your performance; it all seems to be played at the same volume level. You have a nice, even flow to your playing; I think that a little more variety in dynamics would give both greater shape and a greater sense of forward direction to your performance.

Thank you for sharing.

Regards,

BruceD

Very nice playing. I would agree with Bruce, above, in regard to ornamentation. You might want to introduce a few, at least, at the cadences. Correctly improvised and placed ornaments, in baroque music are, certainly, acceptable, with regard to period performance, and, in fact, the baroque performer WAS expected to embellish (usually in repeated sections). A performer who did not, or could not was thought to be dull and unimaginative (this, in no way, is directed toward you personally). I would try to eliminate the pedal I hear at the end of the "A" section's repeat and I might also try for a BIT quicker tempo, altogether. Once again, I agree with Bruce, regarding dynamics, which should follow the contour of the line. You'll not only add direction to your playing but color as well. Keep up the good work.

ChopinAddict, BruceD, stores, thanks for your comments!

I agree with you, it does need more dynamics. I'll work on it. It was one of things my teacher really had to get me to focus on. =D Unfortunately, my camera is also not very good at catching the dynamics, as I'm just using the video feature on an ordinary camera and I don't have a microphone or anything either.
I'll also try adding ornaments. I've listened to other recordings and I like how it sounds with some ornaments. My book does not have any ornaments at all though... I'll check other editions.
Stores I'll try without the pedal in that section, I agree that it sounds better without it, I've always been kinda unsure about the pedal there, and also I think I pedaled there longer than the pedal marking in my book called for anyways, in my video.
Thanks again.
