I hope that you will write down the passages that you were improvising and make them a "piece" or pieces. Some lovely things there, on a sweet piano. Please let us know if you write it or them down and create a recording.

(I did get the 50+ meg wave file. The improv just seemed to stop a little suddenly.)

Thanks.

Very kind to you, indeed good ideas but development and richer harmonies misses, was because I wanted to modulate in more keys, after some time the initial idea is lost !

Sometime I do better than that indeed.

I have yet to listen and try to do something with some ideas, in fact I have that recorder recently so I am not used to record improvisations, but I just had a version of a good software to write music, so that's an idea I'll keep for someday (when repairing pianos will leave me a bit more time !)

I am just uploading another improvisation recorded, that time on a very small vertical piano : Hoffman 104 cm - 41 inches tall (year 1985) a very fine German piano coming from a factory that closed in 1991 (the brand is now owned by Bechstein but the instrumensts are completely different from those ones) Tropicalized, very nice also.

I'll send the link in a moment (again a wav file 40 Mo)

Here it is : http://dl.free.fr/gu4oTtFhw

Thanks for your comments, it is pleasing !

Best regards.

The Zoom was set further from the piano this time? The volume is much lower, and the piano just sounds more distant. Hate to say it, but the sound of the piano was better on the first one. Nice ideas here, too, however.

Thank you, indeed it was a tad far (and the music is ... strange at last, by moments !! not ashamed anyway !

Of course it is a very small piano the sound have nothing to do with a grand Steinway model O !
I would tone better with new strings and new hammers, also.

The intent of this kind of record is to show how the instrument resonate, hence the abuse of sustain pedal and simple harmony !.

Yes I will try to use some of those ideas to make something more polished someday.
