David - very nice Waltz. Brahms is one of those composers I have not investigated yet. Everything I see of his looks so difficult - maybe I should look at some of the Waltzes.

Learning this quite a step for me. Thanks,

Waltz, I loved it! I agree that learning and playing this piece is a huge deal for a beginner/intermediate player. smile

I give you 5-stars!

David - it was absolutely beautiful. I listened to you playing the Waltz many times, and I love it!

My first Piano Bar submission! sick

This was my third recording attempt at this and two other pieces. Technical difficulties scrapped the first two attempts (like video of the back of my head on the first tries... ha )

Anywhoo, I'll spare all of the gory technical details. I'm just happy to get this out of the way and off my playlist... grin

Enjoy!

BenPiano,

This is cool! Fast and confident. thumb

What kind of keyboard are you playing? It looks quite sophisticated smile

Burgmuller surely wrote some very beautiful etudes for beginners/intermediate. I liked 'Crystal Stream' from the same book (I think this is what it was called) - simple and beautiful.

It's a Roland Fantom G8. It is very sophisticated - so sophisticated that I don't know how to use it properly! smile I bought it with very different intentions, but became extremely hooked on learning to play classical piano. It's a great instrument if ever properly tamed! grin

Yes, I really like everything I've heard from his Op. 100. (I had to google it, "Easy and Progressive Studies. - easy, yeah right! ha )

I have a subscription on You Tube to a young girl playing thru Burgmuller's Op. 100. It's a rather humbling experience... ha

BenPiano, that was great. Congrats on your first submission - and a nice camera angle too.

Ben, I'm impressed how good your finger dextery are, and you have a nice touch either. As a piano student who is playing since almost the same time as you and with similar age (30 yo) I think you are progressing pretty fast, surely your guitar experience is beeing useful and you have talent too.

Keep going, I'll be following your steps!

cheers

Rickster, Tatiana, Sam, David, and Cebukid:

Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and say those nice comments about my recording. It really means a lot. Sam: section B is definitely the harder section, especially the very fast part at the end; it's really easy to lose pace with it (at least for me).

Thanks again you guys!

Hi, I won't have anything new for months to come, but here's the first section of my latest Joplin piece. (it's still kinda rough)....and I swear there's piano music in this video! smile

PS-my goal is to have a complete performance of this piece for the Spring or Summer ABF recital.

That was delightful, cebukid70! The GP and the dog seemed to enjoy the music as much as the treat!

Made me smile!

Take care,

I saw this earlier with my youngest (3yo). He kept saying, "Let's watch it again!". He was fascinated with the animals. I was fascinated with the piano - and didn't mind the repetition. Great playing! smile

wow, I agree. (I miss so many pieces somehow?!) I'm working on this one at the moment and am in awe at the speed and precision. Well done!

My sheet doesn't show any of the ornamentation (from Mutopia), so if you don't mind, I'll use your piece to figure out where they should go. grin
