Hello, I'm a 14 year old beginner who is getting his keyboard soon as a late Christmas/New Years gift. We definitely won't get a piano since: A. Generally more expensive/Delicate B. We don't have the space for it(I think we definitey do, but my I guess we are too lazy to re-arrange the furniture xD) C. I've heard old pianos that have horrible sounds because they weren't tuned, which is expensive to do. So a digital one would not have that problem, just the problem of not being able to 'capture the rich beautiful sound of the real thing completely' My old keyboard is a PSR-76 and I need a new one x_x. What are some good DPs that sound/feel like a real piano but are around the 700-1200 range(If there are any decent ones under that price I'd like to know) I've done some reading around and I'm aiming for a Yamaha P-155/P-85 or YDP140/160. I read that the Casio PX-130 is very decent for its cheap price of ~500 but some said it sounds plasticy or that the keys wobble after a while of using it.
On another note,can anyone identify what keyboard this is in this video? It sounds great
I think you've done your research pretty well. If you use the coupon CCABIN at music 123 you can get the P85 for 480 or the P155 for 960. I'd say go with the P155 but of course it is twice the price as the P85. If you could try both the P155 and P85 with headphones and then compare the speaker sound as well. Another idea would be to apply that coupon code at music123 site, print up the total and bring that into a guitar center and see if they'll match or beat that price...if you were thinking of buying one at a store rather than online. I think that code also applies to the 140 and 160 yamahas as well.

I'd place the above yamahas into two classes based on the key action
1) The P85 and YDP 140 -- both of these have "GHS" key action
2) The P155 and YDP 160 -- both of these have "GH" kkey action which is more firm and not a light as the GHS.
Some will prefer the GHS keys because they are lighter but the GH keys are more like an acoustic piano.
In a u-tube demo what makes one digital piano sound best is the recording technique used. Some people simply point a camera at the piano and use the camera's built-in microphone. Others are using a midi connection through a comuter and not even using the DP's sound system. It is easy to make a video where a $60 toy casio sounds better then any DP on the market. Don't judge sound based on u-tube.

It looks like a CLP2xx-series Clavinova. I can't exactly say which model, but it has more controls than my CLP240. So I'm guessing it's a CLP270 or CLP280.
