First of all they should come up with a new numbering system: The P-90 already exists (and is discontinued), while the P-95 was an outboard motor Yamaha made in the 1960s according to Google...

I wonder if there's some key to decoding these model numbers, like they have for issuing social security numbers. So maybe things that start with an 8 were designed by a guy whose employee badge number started with an 8. There was a P80 made even before the P90, discontinued sometime back in the early millenium. The only thing worse than using glitzy names that don't mean anything for models is using numbers that aren't in sequence. And I hope the "P" doesn't just stand for piano, that's pretty uncreative.

There's no P-85 replacement for NAMM.

I'm pretty sure the numbering system involves chicken bones and a full moon... wink

Alden, lovely. Is it a pleasant wine to drink?

A little while ago I attended a concert for an artist that was using KAWAI instruments on stage. I spoke to the chap after the gig to ask his opinions about the touch and sound of the product. He was most complimentary, yet kept referring to KAWAI as "KAY-WHY". After a few minutes or so I decided to correct him on the pronunciation, suggesting that 'KY' manufacture an altogether different kind of product.

Cheers,
James

No, Japanese Christmas cake is a pale imitation of the real thing, while KFC is also a poor substitute for a full roast dinner with all the trimmings.

Alas, neither is terribly easy to find over here, so after I finish work I'll head to yoga, then probably pick up a slab of raw fish on the way home.

Merry Christmas!

Cheers,
James

If any of you are in Northern California in early September, KJ has the most wonderful tomato fest and wine pairing. We go every year.

Happy New Year!
