I was close to buy a Roland HP-207 when the salesperson mentioned the HPi6 and HPi7. Could someone here tell me if the extra money is worth it?

Thanks!

I looked at the HPi-7S spec and it wasn't that much better than the HP207. Check for yourself. You probably have to play them to notice the difference.

P-85 cheap plastic imitation; not because of sound, but weight.

Bells and whistles, nothing else. I bought the HP-207 myself. The LCD display may have a very limited use, IMHO.If you are new to piano you will end up spending your time in front of a plain sheet of music.

If you're a beginner, the 207
might be a little like overkill,
essentially a concert grand. But
the HPi 6 or 7, even though
more expensive, might make
sense. These are apparently
quite a marvel, a piano that
can teach you how to play
the piano, and the performance
would be not much less than
the 207's. If you can afford
them, they could be just what
you're looking for.
