I am thinking about replacing RD700 GX with SV-1 because I'm highly unsatisfied with sound quality on RD although I love the key feel, probably the best on the market. Anybody can comment on SV-1 versus RD? I wonder how is it key's feel on SV-1.

I've seen this demo and love the sound of Korg Sv-1 and simplicity.

I'm about to buy a RD 700gx, what about the sound don't you like? I have also been considering the Kawai MP8II.

The Korg looks sweet how much is it?

Kawai MP8II, Logic Studio 9, Alicia's Keys, AKG 240.

SV-1 is around 2 grands. Stage piano as name indicates should include all good basic piano sounds, EP's and organs and RD has pianos so so, organs so so and EP's unacceptable and this is not only my opinion. I bought this board only for keys actions but every time I sit to play I got frustrated with the sound quality.

p.s.
looks to me that roland did it intentionally to sell more SRX cards.

Checked out the SV1 very cool DP. Think I might be reconsidering the 700gx which I was almost dead set on getting this week. Do they sell the SV1 online?

Check out this Thom York (Radiohead) song and the cool sounds he's getting out of that piano. I believe it's a Fender Rhodes but I could be wrong. That song is amazing and so are the pianos in the video.

tremens, dilirium, What speakers system did you use on the RD-700GX?

What Watts & lowest frequency? What connection, XLR or RCA?

Were the speakers specified as studio monitors or others?

P-85 cheap plastic imitation; not because of sound, but weight.
