I was wondering if anyone could help me with the visual differences between the Yamaha CP70 and CP70B electric pianos.

I've seen some with chrome "corner protectors" underneath the keyboard and some with black ones. Is that the clue?

Before travelling a long distance to look at one I'd like to know if there is anyway to identify it from pictures.

Thanks.

I'm going off photos here / what people say they have so, I'm not entirely sure how accurate I am.

I've seen a CP70 with what looks to be the on switch on the front panel and not the side like a CP70B. Then, I've seen people selling 70(B?)s, with the harp shaped like those of CP80s, which are asymmetrical / more angled. Then some 80s that have knobs and not sliders.

Long story short, I think there is variation and about the only reliable thing is asking for the model / whether it has the balanced outputs. (I think the 80 has more than 2? Or midi?) But then again, when I was looking to buy one, the guy was clueless about the difference, told me it wasn't a CP70B (which would have been a complete deal breaker). But couldn't pass up the chance. Crawled under to see the model / serial number... Now I'm its proud owner!

Anyway, can you post pictures or a link? Perhaps I can be of better help.

Probably the easiest visual clue is the power switch - front panel = 70, right side = 70B. Corner protectors could have been replaced.
