I have finally decided to purchase the FP-7. For those of you who are interested in my reasons, I'll update a little later in my other thread. For now I have a quick question: after calling some online distributors, the lowest price I got was 2k CAD for piano alone (no stand etc.). At the dealer it's priced ~200 higher. I'm assuming there's no negotiating with online retailers, but how much can I reasonably hope to negotiate with the dealer? Are negotiations even done for pianos in this relatively low price range?

Are you kidding? There's ALWAYS negotiating with online dealers. They are running 15 and 20% off sales regularly.

Right now there are 2 online dealers with $1895 as their online price, and I bet with a phone call you get get them to either come down a little or give you something else.

That would be Guitar Center and Music 123.

+++I just notice you said CAD so I'm not sure what the conversion rate is, maybe it's the same price.

2k CAD is about 1850 USD, so that sounds about right. I'll give them a call next week, see what I can manage. Good thing I asked, thanks, Nikalette.
