She's precious! (But the piano owner needs to be taught not to put puppies too young to be housebroken on the keyboard. smile )

funny that you mention that. we're actually having that problem now with our cat.

hasn't hit the piano yet but i fear he may one day because he's come pretty close. he got a spot on the carpet by the pedals last week. the stench was so bad it almost singed my nose hairs. it would have peeled paint!

i don't know...maybe he's trying to tell me something.

Dave,

Unless it's a "marking" behavior (usually by unneutered animals), urination outside the litter box isn't normal for a cat. It's generally a sign of a physical problem or of psychological distress. I recommend a trip to the veterinarian.

I had to put my 15 yr old cat down because of that. And he didn't start doing it until I brought a new cat into the house. Very bad move! Cats' pshchys are very delicate. It doesn't take much to drive them crazy and drive them to bad behavior. I learned it the hard way.

PS...Cute picture!

The cat could have a bladder infection. I'd take him to the doc so he can figure it out. Also, I know that if it is a behavior thing, cats need 1 litter box per cat +1. So my one cat gets two litter boxes. Ever since we added the 2nd it hasn't been an issue.
