I don't know the protocol or is there is any.

Is it ok to put member recordings on my ipod.. I finally have time to listen to some and they are really great. Should I always ask permission?

Any thoughts?

You should probably ask that in the pianist corner forum. The way they have organized these forums, this one doesn't get a lot of traffic. Many members have posted their efforts in the other forum as well. If I ever post a recording, you can. smile

Apple, I assume that everybody who shares their recordings here will be most happy for any listener, whether online or on iPod! I'd say there is absolutely no need to ask permission. However, people would certainly be happy to hear from you after you have listened to their recording!
