Hmmm - a slight variation of Jim Carey's comment from Liar Liar comes to mind - "I've heard better".
EDIT: Well that's not very nice, is it. Seriously though, I want to hear more delicate playing, with the *close* perspectives. The sounds I hear in the existing demos sound quite "distant", and also there's no or very little soft playing.
Greg.

I agree. Underwhelming is my first impression.

The work was done by Sampletekk, so I definitely won't write it off yet - I'll wait for some more demos. I have their "White Grand" and I think it's excellent. EDIT: Correction: only the *acoustics* involved Sampletekk it seems. Anyway, here's their announcement: http://www.northernsounds.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67938Greg.

I love how even after you've handed over 350 EUR for the full version, they still expect you to pay extra for the USB dongle that actually lets you run it. Does anyone sell a decent virtual piano without an obnoxious copy prevention scheme (i.e. no dongle, and no online registration that only works as long as the company remains in business and deigns to support the product)?

The dongle was one reason I chose Kontakt over HALion - not just the price - I just hate the damn things. However, I'm having second thoughts on this now - the flexibility of being able to install it on multiple machines make the dongle "less unattractive", if one needs that.
