Hi, I really want to know how do you feel about his playing. Not his singing, his piano playing only. I love the way hi plays, does anyone else?

Wow, you are bringing up some old memories here. Big fan of Queen and Freddie, but more because of his singing and songwriting. RIP.

When he was alive I really didn't realise how talented he was. Why do the good ones die?

I always liked this one because of the piano. More importantly it is the only instrument in the song. I've known this song since I was a kid but hearing this live version gave me an ear worm.

Queen - You Take My Breath Away

I like the intro to this one
Queen - My Melancholy Blues

Connor MacLeod AKA the Highlander gave me a lot of exposure.

Here is a classic from Live Aid, when Freddie and the band were at the peak of their powers. He joins Brian May on guitar, and I don't know who on piano:

I loved his piano playing, because he really mixed his classical education with rock. I mean, c'mon, how do you write bohemian rhapsody without going mad?

He was an amazing player and he really knew how to play songs.

Glock fan, I kinda disagree with you, IMHO Queen was at the peak of his powers in the 70s,when they did better records, with a strong presence of the vocal arrangements, piano and stuff like that. I've always been a fan of Freddie's Vaudeville Pieces on each album until The Game. One of my faves is this one:

Queen - The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke

Hey folks, thanks for your answers!. I agree with Dave, his performance during the 70s is my favorite. Like he did on "Millionaire Waltz"
