I never get tired of hearing that song. One of my favorites.

(I'm thinking about getting myself an outfit like that -- pretty cool, huh?). smile

Thanks for sharing.

I was there! Thanks so much for posting this. Nothing beats Elton's energy!

This one and 1984 at Wembley Stadium are my favorite live versions of this song. Except, of course, for the times I've seen it live in person. That's always the best grin.

I'll figure it out eventually.
Until then you may want to keep a safe distance.

I remember yes... by the way do you know how to save just the sound and not the video from the clip?

One of my favorite all time rock and roll piano albums is "11/17/70," an Elton John album recorded live in a radio studio on that date in 1970. It's just Elton with a bass and drums; he has to carry the whole load with piano and vocal. The piano playing is outstanding. I don't know if I can think of many other rock albums where somebody uses just acoutic piano, bass, drums and vocal.

Here you go. This'll do it for you and open up a whole lot of music for you.

I wonder where the white Steinways he played in the early to mid 1980s ended up. Would love to get my hands on one. Probably been refurbed and refinished in black by now?

Great song, my brother bought it when it first came out and is a firm favourite of mine. I think it was a great production idea to make the initial recording sound like a live concert.....works so well

Surprisingly easy, barely an inconvenience.
