It's working smile The two keyboard motherboards were broken, so i had them replaced in a service for 100 euros. Now, it works like a brand new piano.

120 euros for Yamaha p-120 in my country is a bargain... People sell them for 350+ euros here, so i did pretty good.

Great. And looking at the specifications, it's mostly the same as the p155 which was the standard mid-market stage piano from Yamaha until the P255 came out some months ago. The P155 cost about €1180 in Portugal, and similar in many European countries, so that's a good bargain you've sorted out there.

@dewster:

Back to the basics, eh?

It's better just to play and not break the bank, right?

Perhaps an AvantGrand isn't worth the lofty price tag.

The church my wife plays at might be convinced to upgrade (it's pretty sad when the P-105 is an "upgrade"). If not, one of her students will likely need something soon.

The (very nice) guy I bought it from was a little taken aback when I stated that the P-105 was an OK entry level digital piano. He paid way too much for it new.

I bought this to play at work on lunch break.. Feels great, like a p155 or p255.
Same GH action still used today, so i thought 150$ was a bargain for that laugh

Hey, I recently got interested in learning how to play piano and was thinking about getting a p-105.

How much would you say is too much for the yamaha p-105 new? I was thinkning of either getting the p-105 or a Kawai ES100. I've heard and read that the kawai is better than the p-105 but at $200 more I was wondering if it would be worth it being a beginner and all.
