My dear sweet husband, gave me this book. I think its a "fakebook" (not sure what a fakebook is). It looks like a fun book. SOme of the titles are Copacabana, 8 days a week, Mamma Mia, Raindrops keep falling on my head, in total there is 34 songs. I'm on the first song: 8 days a week by the Lennon and McCartney. I was wondering if anyone has played from this book?

Today I got my piano, it's a Yamaha DXG-630.

I love the list of songs. But, I looked at it on a couple of websites and didn't find an indication of the level. Would you say it's fairly basic or more intermediate? It must be fairly new as no one has reviewed it yet on sheetmusicplus.

I would say basic in the beginning, there is a lot of help drawing in it. I would say it's a beginner book. The songs look to get harder as the book goes on. I does come with a CD to help

A fake chord book gives just the basics and you are expected to fake the rest, i.e. flesh out the song with your own interpretation of what needs to be done. Fake chord started years ago as home made notes passed between musicians.
