Scroll all the way to the bottom - it is under Final Fantasy 7 Piano Collections, called "Fighting".

The Final Fantasy Piano Collection is superb. There is a lot of variety that the classical musician can enjoy, and it certainly does not skimp out on technical challenge. You should definitely check out the entire set.

Good luck!

Thanks for the link.

Since I have very poor computer skills I am having some difficulty since I know nothing about zip files and usually print from pdf files. I can get the individual pages to appear on the screen but there seems to be only two sizes... very small and very large. I don't think either will be correct for printing.

Can anyone help?

Are you using Windows?

I'd open the files up with Windows Photo Gallery and print it through there. It should resize everything to fit a standard piece of paper. If you're still having problems, just give me a PM and I'll just convert everything into an easy PDF for you.

Interestingly enough, I don't really like the orchestrated(non piano)version much at all. I probably wouldn't have even listened to the piece once all the way through if my first hearing of it was in the orchestral version.

knock yourself out, it's all free:

just click on the "super nintendo icon" and scroll down to super mario and you are all set.

I think the site is malfunctioning a bit because the pdf files don't seem to work for me but I guess you could download them without a problem.

Oh, thank you!

I'll look into getting both pieces soon.

This month I will have been playing the keyboard / Piano for 20 years, and Im still not as good as this guy is frown.

But I will be eventually.

The last week of April, I slacked of big time and didnt bother with learning any new notes, just doing lots of exercises instead.

Grrrr ... But hopefully I can magnetic rag learnt by the end of this month, meaning I will have learnt it in just 2 months (this would be really fast for me).

I hate when I lose motivation for a while and get slowed down.

Old thread, but whatever. Those Who Fight is a wonderful piece, but few gives it a professional touch(to many "MIDI-players" and imitators)! To many people who thinks "It would be cool to play that on the piano". Those Who Fight is the piece that made me the pianist I am today. I have played for 2 years and 9 months or something, And I started working on it 13 April 2008. It took me 8 months to memorize it, and allot more to get it down, and now it's finally becoming music to my ear(My ear is REALLY picky). Hardest piece I knew before jumping on Those Who Fight was To Zanarkand Piano Collection, which is easy.

If someone knows of somebody on youtube that plays the piece really good, tell me here. I want to see. Kyle Landry and Kevin Aprilio is OK, but I mean people who make music of it like w3sp.

Hmm... strange you should put it that way.

I think honestly Kyle Landry's version is just as good as w3sp's.

BTW: I'm not just a hackjob arguing for no reason. I have studied this piece myself and its on my channel. So I get to have a say. smile

Assigned:

Krebs, Suite No. 1 in D major - VIII: Gigue
Beethoven, Sonata in G major (1st Mov) - Op 49, No 2
Chopin, Waltz in A flat major - Op 69, No 1

For fun:

Nobuo Uematsu - Ahead On Our Way (FF7)

If Kyle Landry were to do a re-record of Those Who Fight (which I think he himself has even mentioned contemplation of doing), I think everyone would be impressed by it. I may think that his performance of this piece is at times a bit overrated (even though I still have to aim to play half as well as him, as I'm still currently learning this piece), but his progression since his recording of it is absolutely astounding!

Those who Fight is a true masterpiece: easily one of my favorite piano compositions of all time. I had memorized the first page a while back but only recently decided to pick it back up and learn the rest. A few sections have some awkward stretches, but overall, the piece isn't too bad -- and it's a blast to play.

Just out of curiosity, pianoloverus, did you ever end up learning it?
