Hi,

I've been looking for a Yamaha U1 or U3 upright for my recording studio. Today I came across a Yamaha MC1AWnC which I liked the sound of very much. Seemed to have bigger bottom end & a much wider range of tone - more than most of the U1 & U3 I've seen. Does anyone know anything about the MC1A? Were these built also built in Japan etc..? its going for around the same price as u1 & u3 - I put a deposit down! Any thoughts welcome.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Yamaha MC1AWnC: 1500w x 1210h {48 inch} x 610d 208 Kgs. Walnut

Built in Japan, 1990 to 1994.

That's all the info I could find.

Have an independent qualified tech check it out before purchase

Good luck,

Bear
