Any techs out there with a suggestion for how to recondition my 10 year old CVP-96's keyboard so the keys will be "quiet"? I see a continuous felt and rubber pad under the metal rods coming from the keys. It looks like that needs to be replaced, it's indented where the rod strikes it. I was looking for any "homegrown" solutions other than a factory replacement. Thanks in advance for any reply.

I would go in the next door down the hall and ask in the Digital Piano room.

You should not shy off from factory-supplied parts. They may have just what you need.
