Ok, so I'd love to play something for Yann Tiersen but I'm not sure what. I'm still a beginner studying Beyer with my teacher but I'd like to play some pieces so I don't get bored. I don't mind if the piece is a bit higher than my level. I'd like some challenge there, really.

So can anyone recommend me something easy for Yann Tiersen (if there is any)?

Thanks in advance smile

Hmmm.... that's a tough one. Tiersen really likes his rapid-fire arpeggios, which doesn't really count as 'beginner.' help

Some of the pieces from "Goodbye, Lenin" are short and not too hard, though, e.g., "Mother" and "Watching Lara."

"Comptine d'une autre ete: l'apres midi" might be a good place to start. The notes are easy....left and right hand coordination is the hardest part about it. But it gets easy after about a trillion repetitions.... smile

La Longue Route. This is probably one of the easiest I've heard...well to get to notes down. Getting it to sound right..... crazy

In my opinion, several of the Goodbye Lenin! pieces are the easiest.

Mother, Watching Lara (as Monica said), and I would add Summer '78 and Coma to that list.

Le Matin and La Plage from the Les Retrouvailles album are very nice pieces also. Each has a little challenge (the RH middle section of Le Matin, and the LH end of La Plage)

Thank you all for the suggestions.
I like "Watching Lara" and I already have the sheet music for it.
Just checked La Longue Route and it's even easier. I'll print it and start it right away. Thanks a lot Devane grin
