Hi all,

As you know I have a ypg 625 and I love playing on it but haven't used the features very much.

I went into the function button and much to my surprise I could adjust the touch sensitivity to soft medium or hard. Nice Nice I didn't even know.

In addition you can raise the keyboards volume as well through the function button so the piano sounds are much louder.

There's much more but wanted to just touch on these because I really didn't know any of this till I went to youtube and punched in ypg 625 to watch peoples recordings on it and someone mentioned about adjusting the touch sensitivity.

I thought I had skimmed over the manual pretty good but missed it or didn't skim over it as well as I thought

wow just went back and you can turn your sustain on. :p

I'd be very interested in knowing how to accomplish this, since the manual skips certain functions.

Thought you might like to know that there also is a function for you to change EQs to suit headphones better, too. smile

ya strat I found the eq feature too. laugh

when you go into the function button just use the scroll up arrow till you find the main volume and use the wheel to raise it. max is 127, default is 114.

also go into functions and raise your reverb, you'll notice a tremedous difference in your sounds as well. like night and day, it gives it a concert echo hall sound. awesome

the thing about that though is when you change voices or turn it off it goes back to default so what i did was i used the regist memory function (that's explained well in the manual).

i choose the voice or voices, raise the volume in functions and save it to one of the banks. you can do up to 16 i think , you have 2 banks and each bank has 8 bank slots. so anyway ive done about 7 customizations and i have them written down so when i want to play certain voices i've combined i just press 2 buttons and it pulls it up. if i want to play just the grand sound with the volume maxed i just press the 2 buttons where i saved it and vuola.

Thanks a lot for the info! smile

That's awesome! My main issue with the piano has been the weak volume, that should take care of it. I also wasn't aware of the reverb trick, so I'll give it a go. Thank you so much for sharing! Can't wait to get home. LOL!

FYI, it's "voilà." :p

Hey OG,

So what settings did you raise the Grand Piano too? Reverb, Volume? I'm going to try messing with some of those on Wednesday to see if I can get some different sounds going on..

Thanks in advance
SC
