You can start with submitting tracks to music film libraries Tady.

Good luck, John

I'm a film scoring major and that can help. Plus I have a boyfriend who does filmwork. it's all no budget though. If you want to get involved though let me know. http://www.youtube.com/user/DarkRebel7

Thius is his stuff. He's very professional and serious about his work.

Hope this helps.

~Cara

I agree with harmosis. Get to know some film students or local filmmakers in your area. Make a demo of your work showing different musical genres.

There is also a great summer intensive as well as classes throughout the year through Pacific Northwest Film Scoring; their website is:

http://www.pnwfilmmusic.com/

Best of luck!

Johnny-Boy,

Can you give us some sites where you can do this?

Thanks!

Hi Pianobuff,

There are many film music libraries. Some will accept submitting music, some will require a referral.

You can probably find many by Googling.

Here are two that you can submit to by registering on their website:

"Pump Audio":
http://www.pumpaudio.com/

"Crucial Music"
http://www.crucialmusic.com/account/indie_signup

I also recommend TAXI (especially their TAXI Dispatch"). They are expensive to join though. I've gotten many placements on "Dateline NBC" through one of their forwarding contacts. http://www.taxi.com/

Good luck, John

Thank you John for the recommendations.

I do know of Taxi and am currently working on submitting some of my music through them for the first time. Haven't joined yet. But of course will have to in order to submit.

The other two are new to me! Thanks again.
