Hi,
Anything played on an accordian makes me weep.
After I stop crying I wonder why the accordian was invented in the first place. Then I wish I had a time machine to go back in time to that guy and suggest that he change occupations before inventing the accordian. I fall asleep dreaming that I have saved the world from the most obnoxious musicial inventon ever, and then wish to become ruler of an island in the Pacific where accordians are ceremoniously dumped into the ocean at sunrise every evening to the delight of electric guitar players around the world. But, that's just me.

this was another board, then i went looking here and thought about it. i hate leaving, so
that's what friends are for always struck a nostalgic chord within me (pun slightly intended) if i hear send in the clowns you might find myself next to the box of kleenex. , abide with me (not on a religious level, more so the melody). marlene deitrich doing where have all the flowers gone in german. strange fruit? My heart will go on if you ignore celine's voice?

Just when I'd stopped
Opening doors,
Finally knowing the one that I wanted was yours,
Making my entrance again with my usual flair,
Sure of my lines,
No one is there.

The realization—everything has come full stop and it's too late.

Floating, found here... http://tatsuchan.ruby-eyes.org/prettybalanced/
made me weep on the first 10 listens or so.
if you're going to listen, i warn you that it's piano rock for one thing and two, there's a curse—probably two.
(shamless plug for one of my favorite bands when I need a break from the classical things for a minute... but it really makes me weep)

the mozart requiem, too.

Neil Young - "Ohio"

"Tin soldiers and Nixon's coming
We're finally on our own.
This summer I hear the drumming,
Four dead in O-hi-o."

Had to live through them times, and now we're doing it all over again!

When will we ever learn....

Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C# minor Op. 27 is one. Though it seems as if everyone and their mother can play it, it doesn't lessen the power of the sonata.

Well, guess I could chime in here, eh? (My first post in this part of the forum). Not sure what the deal is, but something about the combinations of notes (or, maybe event he lyrics) just gets to me.

-- Aerith's Theme (Comp. Nobou Uematsu)
-- Christmas Canon (Perf. Trans Siberian Orchestra)
-- Hallelujah
-- Whiskey Lullaby (Perf. Brad Paisley / Alison Krauss)

Hmm, thought that there were more, but I just can't seem to pull them from memory.

I was writing tonight...
I started researching about topics or things to do with "how to be a better a writer" and "Why things sound the same in all lyrics, poems, or story" ...
I found this in my searches...
http://www.matthewzachary.com/

I do believe everything happens for a reason...
Now if I can learn to believe in myself more, then I could step on or sit under the box, then I wouldn't be caught inside the box no more..
Lori Mckenna Never Die Young
Natasha Bedingfield "Unwritten" Funny how things pop into your life at those wierd coincidental moments..
Micheal W Smith "Friends" Why is it that the music we learn as a child, teen, or young adult stays with us the longest?
Please don\'t let them Hurt Your Children
As I face the reality of my own childhood, I also know there are worse case scenerios out there..

Photograph by Nickleback but now I can laugh smile
And one more my list could go on, I am a sentimental person I guess..
Jesus Has a Rocking Chair

Peace!

Barber - Adagio for Strings
Gershwin - Rhapsody in Blue (haven't a clue why)
The Water is Wide
Pathetique - 2nd movement
Chopin Prelude #6 - e minor

I'm sure there are others - these are just the ones that jump to mind.
