This is the beginnings of my set of 24 preludes. I am starting in C minor and going around the circle of fifths to all the other minors (i.e. Gm, Dm, Am, Em, etc.), and then into the majors. I only have an mp3 for the 4th one, but hopefully I can either a) record them soon, or b) record GPO with them.

Hope you like them!

Prelude No.1 in C minor
-MIDI (sorry no mp3)- | -Score-

Prelude No.2 in G minor
-MIDI (sorry no mp3)- | -Score-

Prelude No.3 in D minor
-MIDI (sorry no mp3)- | -Score-

Prelude No.4 in A minor
-mp3- | -Score-

Is the mp3 for the a-minor prelude played in d-minor? Just didn't sound like a-minor to me - sounded like it was transposed.

I couldn't get the others to play. Looking over the scores, looks pretty good. Perhaps a bit too "I-IV-V-I" for my taste. Don't get me wrong, I like tonal, functional harmony, but this just seemed a little "too" basic.

I like your idea of a set of 24 - maybe I'll give a project like that a go sometime.

Nice job - keep us posted with your progress.

Thanks. Ya, my first few were written prior to my experiments with new harmony, so they consist mainly of I-IV-V, vi, etc. I will definately post the new ones as i finish them up.

Also, the MIDI files of the first 3 worked for me. I think you may need Windows Media Player. And about the Am, Dm thing, you HAVE to click Lo-fi, or it will speed it up and change the pitch. It only does this on the Am prelude, dont ask me why... But try using the mp3 or the lo-fi.

Thanks for your comments!
