The party was wonderful! I met a number of new and interesting people, the food and drink was superb, and the PIANO . . . well, the instrument itself was divine, but the players were even better! It was quite an enchanting evening. I took my elderly mother (who loves to hear piano music, even though she claims she isn't ever going to play any more herself--she had a traumatic experience in lessons years ago) and she was a big hit with the hosts' children and pets as well as with the other attendees. I played "Linus and Lucy" so as to continue the Linus and Lucy challenge. Many people played well. I wish my house were cleaned up and my piano were better so I could host one next month!!

Thanks again, Cork and Kelly and your beautiful children (all of whom played several times, shaming the adults!)

I am down in San Antonio and would be interested in coming by next time I'm in Dallas. When do you hold your piano group parties?

Ever hear of anything similar in San Antonio?

I hope another one will happen soon. Unfortunately, my piano is more of a "cream puff driven only to church by a little old lady from Pasadena" than something that pros/great players could play on, and the carpeting here needs to be cleaned with a blowtorch, so I can't host it here.

You are DEFINITELY invited! I hope somebody tells us when and where it'll happen again. I drew and wrote my thank-you note today, at last. (shamefaced look)

I should have told you that the next party won't be until the summer. Probably June/July timeframe. It's kind of a quarterly thing, from what I gather.
